Founded in 1950, the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas is one of the oldest programs in the country. Recently, department faculty members have been recognized with honors and distinctions from prominent international journals and professional societies, as well as holding key leadership and editorial positions. The department has a very active research program that is supported by a growing body of outstanding M.S. and Ph.D. students. The department is currently listed as the 29th best graduate program in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering by US News and World Report and is the lead campus for the Center for Engineering Logistics and Distribution, which is comprised of nine other universities.
Our Mission: The mission of the Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas is to be a nationally competitive, student-centered, Industrial Engineering program serving Arkansas and the world through undergraduate and graduate studies, and leading-edge research programs.
